Sea Shepherd Global is an international direct-act ocean conservation movement established in 1977 by Paul Watson, a founding member of Greenpeace. Their global mission is to protect the oceans and everything that lives in it, from the tiniest plankton to the biggest whale, by making life safer and healthier. European Green Capitals To incentivise European national authorities to invest in the improvement of their local environment, the European Commission has been developing an initiative since 2010, to award cities of their efforts and progresses in sustainable approaches.
