Manta rays have huge brains compared to their body size, which could explain their social and curious nature. One of the biggest threats to their decreasing population is people's demand for fish: There is a big lack of regulation in the commercial fishery and the mantas' large size makes it easy for them to get tangled in fishing nets. We need to protect them.
